JUNE 2007
HOUSTON APARTMENT ASSOCIATION
Hamilton-Steele competed in the Houston Apartment Association’s Ronny Finger ALLstars Sports challenge on June 8, 2007 which benefits Muscular Dystrophy Assocation (MDA), earmarked for ALS research. It was no surprise “HS EXPRESS” dressed in camouflage shirts, they were there to beat out the competition, earning the first place trophy overall and first place in the Tug-O-War for second straight year! Congratulations to the team and to a great cause. HAA raised $16,000 this year benefiting MDA. |

On March 4, 2007 Hamilton-Steele partnered with Pinnacle Management to form “Sandblasters” for the HAA volleyball tournament. Sandblasters succeeded in beating out 28 teams to earn FIRST PLACE in the tournament. Thank you to our coach, Brandt Dillon, in leading us to excellence! |

ASSOCIATION OF POOL AND SPA PROFESSIONALS
Hamilton-Steele Outdoor Accents recently took home 5 pool awards from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals at the Region III Awards ceremony held on February 7, 2007 at the Hilton Americas in downtown Houston. Among the awards given were:
- Silver Award- Complete pool remodel for C.R.E.S. Management located at 3525 Sage. An in- ground gunite spa, cabana with clay tile roof, and outdoor kitchen was also added by Hamilton-Steele.
- Silver Award- Negative Edge Pool Installation on Lake Conroe. A flagstone bar and seating were also installed inside the pool to view the seamless transition between the lake and the pool’s “vanishing” edge.
- Silver Award- Freeform-style pool in the Woodlands, included an outdoor day bed, firepit, 2 arbors, and outdoor kitchen.
- Silver Award- Geometric-style pool in the highly sought-after neighborhood of Hunter’s Creek in Houston. A fire feature surrounded by water can be viewed when entering the home, as well as from all the rooms of the house.
- Bronze Award- Geometric-style pool in Houston. The pool was built on piers due to the fact that half the pool was built on a creek’s edge. Special features include 2 fire features, rain-style water feature, and spa.

PLANET SAFETY AWARD
October 11, 2006 Hamilton-Steele announces today it was recently awarded the Overall Safety Achievement Award-Silver Performance Level in the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) annual Safety Recognition Awards Program. “Safe work environments show our employees and our clients we care”, said Becky Steele, Hamilton-Steele’s Co-Owner. “We will continue to promote safe work habits by our employees on a daily basis because we recognize the importance of safety in the workplace”. |

PLANET ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT AWARD
“September 22, 2006: Hamilton-Steele wins 2 Awards in PLANET’s 37th Annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program. PLANET is the Professional Landcare Network, the landscape industry’s national association.
The first national award won was the Distinction Award (3rd place) for the landscape installation at Memorial Towers Condominiums located at 5400 Memorial Drive in Houston, TX. This was a complex installation of lush plantings and hardscape on top of a parking garage.
The second national award won was the Merit Award (2nd place) for the landscape/hardscape installation at the Brewton Residence located in Houston, TX. This project was designed by Dwight MacDonald, ASLA and included a very formal travertine courtyard, an extraordinary custom-built slate water feature, outdoor kitchen, and plantings. |

Hamilton-Steele wins 3 Texas Excellence in Landscaping (TEIL) Awards
on behalf of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA) and
attends award ceremony in San Antonio, Texas on January 14, 2005.
Hamilton-Steele accepted Silver and Honorable Mention awards for 2
residential installations and a Bronze award for Memorial Towers,
a commercial installation near downtown Houston. |

2004
Hamilton-Steele completes a large scale Commercial Installation in
Katy, Texas for AmReit. Specimen Date Palms were hand selected by
Owner, Becky Steele, in Yuma, Arizona for the job. Hamilton-Steele’s
landscape architecture and installation compliment the progressive
entertainment facility developed by Jefco. |

JANUARY 2004
Hamilton-Steele wins a TEIL silver award for a large scale residential
installation that included a putting green, 2 fountains, and an
outdoor kitchen. The award was accepted in Dallas, Texas.
Hamilton-Steele wins a silver and bronze award from National Spa
and Pool Institute (NSPI) for exceptional designs and installations
for 2 high end residential pools. The awards were accepted in Houston,
Texas.
